Timbra Tamborim, Green Aluminum Shell, White Timbra head, 6 tuning hooks, 6 inches.

Timbra green aluminum shelled Tamborim

This tamborim is made with robust, durable aluminum that is made to be corrosion resistant. The aluminum has been treated to prevent corrosion and fading, so the drum will keep its original sleek, green shine for longer. The grooves you see in the aluminum shell are there to make it durable and lighter in weight .

Classic tamborim of six inches in diameter. Six tuning hooks.

The drum comes with a white nylon head. These thin heads give you that crispy tamborim sound that sambistas can't get enough of! The drum head has a prominent Timbra logo.

The tuning hooks are made of nickel and the rims are always chromed.

Tamborins add an aggressive, crispy voice to your bateria. Often described as the icing on the cake. The sound slices through the bateria with complicated rhythms and phrases.  Even the smallest mistake on this instrument will draw the attention so a tight tamborim section is a wonderful and rare thing.

When used in samba schools and baterias, tamborims are played with tamborim “baquetas”. Portugues for "beaters".

Go Samba gets these 3 and 5 rod tambroim baquetas from master baqueta maker Jorginho.
