Repique stick, maçaranduba wood. Sold as a single stick

These repique sticks are made of maçaranduba wood which is dark brownish red and can even be somewhat purple. This wood is very dense and heavy making this repique stick nice and loud. The stick is tapered, wider on one end than the tip. This gives the stick a nice balance in your hand and helps you play faster. 

These sticks are somewhat hard to find and sound great. They also make great bell and agogo sticks because of their density.
